He came up to me recently at a party and introduced himself
and said, “we share the same New Orleans agent, Brenda.” I was honored that an actor of his caliber
was giving me advice and telling me, I am on the right path and to keep on
keeping the faith. He suggested I take
acting classes with his teacher, Tim Phillips so the next day I signed up with
Tim! You see, This actor is James DuMont.
James plays Jared Leto’s father in “Dallas Buyers Club,” and President
Eisenhower’s (Robin Williams) Chief of Staff in “The Butler.” His performances are memorable because they
are so human. With over 95 major Feature Films and Television Shows and over 20 National Commercial under his belt,
James’ career is evolving and he is an inspiration to me, a truly unstoppable
actor who sees every audition as an OPPORTUNITY. This blog post is dedicated to an actor who
inspires me, an actor who is receiving the attention he so deserves, and an
actor who has taught me to embrace every audition as an opportunity to see “who
