The Emmy's are Coming, The Emmy's are Coming...

As some of you know, I am a happy active member of the TV Academy, and as a voting member of the TV Academy, I take my duty seriously.  So, for the past few months, I kept receiving all these wonderful gifts from Showtime, HBO, History Channel, ABC, NBC, FX, etc.  Every day when the door bells rings, it was like Santa Claus was at the door.  When I opened the door, there he was, the mailman, handing me another brown box and I would open it like a kid on Christmas Day and behold inside, there would be this Colorful box with screeners of many many shows.  And, I would allocate as much time as possible between auditions, coachings, consulting, and classes to watch all of them and some were not just two or three episodes, some were entire seasons.  I just would watch Entire seasons like Mr. Selfridge, starring Jeremy Piven who I met on Entourage and in Mr. Selfridge, he was truly a Mr. a Gentlemen, showing acting skills and then when the Netflix Box came, Orange is the New Black.  I had no idea how good the show was and the day that I put that DVD into my player, ready to watch oh, maybe 2 episodes, I found myself 13 hours later, wanting to subscribe to Netflix, so I can watch the next season, wow, what a show.  Truly a leading edge, majestically written and performed new golden age TV show.  And then, after all my hard work I had the joy of proudly casting my vote for all these shows.  Thank you TV Academy.

Thank you TV Academy for giving me the opportunity to cast my vote on many new shows, it was an honor and a privilege. I look forward to the 25th!

California Entertainment Industry Needs Your Help!

As an actress in California who moved to this great state to thrive as an ACTRESS.  I invested my morning writing numerous letters to Senator Knight, Senator Beall, Senator DeSaulnier, Senator Hernandez, Senator Liu, Senator Wolk, Senator Walters, Staff Director, Colin Grinnell and Republican Consultant, Scott Chavez in support of Assembly Bill 1839, to expand the current CA Film and Television Tax Credit program.

The entertainment industry is a vital part of California’s economy. Over 500,000 jobs and more than 50,000 California small businesses depend on a thriving film and television production industry.  But with the pressure of incentive programs in other states and countries,  California’s share of the top grossing feature film market has slipped from 68% to just 8%.  Production of one-hour television shows has also left the state – dropping from 64% to 28% over the past 8 years.

AB 1839 invests in California’s future economy, and would help return our state to its rightful place as the home of the entertainment industry.

Please consider writing your own letter today or emailing one or two in support.  Thank you in advance for any letter you write or email you send!  I have listed the email addresses below:

Why not UP the GRATITUDE?

You heard it before, GRATITUDE is the BEST ATTITUDE.  So, between you and me, I started to get stuck in my mind set last week and noticed myself slipping into a state of "I'm not enough" or "I am not where I want to be," so I knew I had to take immediate action to UP my GRATITUDE.  I decided for one month, in addition to my GRATITUDE JOURNAL, I will email one person per day to say, thank you and specifically share with them all the reasons why I love and appreciate them in my life.

Trust me, since starting this gratitude practice, I have experienced even more abundance, because Abundance is in harmony with gratitude.  I received email replies back from the people I was reaching out to, writing all the reasons why they appreciate me and I have been experiencing more and more unexpected, wonderful news.  I invite you to try it and let me know your thoughts!

Lucky Me....He's a STAR!

I am so grateful to be a member of the Television Academy.   Through the TV Academy events I get to meet incredible actors like Bob Newhart and Jon Voight to name a few, and hear incredible producers speak like Michelle Ashford (creator/EP of Masters of Sex) and Alex Gansa (EP and Showrunner for Homeland).  I always leave the events inspired and with even more advice I can implement into my own career.

It is such a JOY and an Honor to be a member.

Want to Help me, Help the Children?

If you know me, you know how much I LOVE and ADORE children and what children mean to me.  When I see a child smile I see JOY and agape LOVE and all my so called problems melt away.  When I saw the opportunity to get involved raising funds for these children, I jumped to it and said YES.  Please join me in creating more sunshine in this world by supporting the children at St Jude's Hospital.  I am teaming up with Yoga Works and St. Jude's Hospital to raise money to find cures for cancers and save the lives of children.

Please go to my page, here and help me, help the children of our world!

Want to Live Up to Your Highest Potential?

Daily Rituals:

I recently read an article on creating daily rituals into your day to help reach your highest potential.  Sounds good huh? The article is here

Here were my 3 takeaways:

Drink a glass of water when you wake up. Sounds simple right?  Oh boy, sometimes, I am thirsty in the middle of the night, now I know why.  Look like our bodies lose water while we sleep, so we are naturally dehydrated in the morning. A glass of water when you wake helps start your day fresh. When do you drink your first glass of water each day? Thirsty yet?

Define your top 3. “What are the top three most important tasks that I will complete today?”  What’s your "Top 3" today?  Sometimes I have 50 things on my to do list and get overwhelmed, what if there were only three most important things?  Could be to send that one email you have been putting off, or make that scary phone call, or for me it could be that important audition I gotta prepare for!  Get to it!

Express gratitude (Now, this one I do and can't imagine my life without!!) Gratitude fosters happiness, which is why I write every morning, (After a glass of water) what I am grateful for and why. What are you grateful for today? Why are you grateful for that in your life?   I would love to hear it so feel free to share below!

Now, here's to living to your HIGHEST POTENTIAL!
